Hey there, powerhouse,
Let’s get real for a second: Are you keeping lukewarm friends, chasing lukewarm opportunities, or living with lukewarm ambition? You know what I mean—the ones that don’t challenge you, don’t ignite a fire within, and don’t align with the version of yourself you’re striving to become. I’m talking about the people, jobs, and routines that are just … okay.
This week, we’re diving into Revelations 3:15-16:
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
Harsh, right? But let’s flip that into empowerment. Life is way too short to settle for mediocrity in your circle, your work, or your energy. It’s time to clean house and start aligning yourself with the people and pursuits that make you feel fully alive.
In this edition of “Girl, Get It Done,” we’ll talk about how to identify what’s lukewarm in your life and, more importantly, how to make the bold move to either turn up the heat or let it go. Because let’s be real: You were made for more. Let’s clear out what’s holding you back headed into 2025 so you can step into what’s truly meant for you.
Buckle up, girl—it’s time to get bold and get it done.

Some Things Are Black & White
1. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE LUKEWARM?
Being lukewarm is more than just feeling "meh" about something—it’s settling for less than what ignites your passion and aligns with your purpose. Lukewarm relationships are the ones where you’re not truly seen, supported, or challenged. Lukewarm opportunities are the safe choices that don’t push you to grow. Lukewarm ambition? That’s when you’re just coasting—going through the motions instead of chasing something that makes your heart race. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either—and that’s the problem.
2. THE MESSAGE OF REVELATIONS 3:15-3:16
The Bible doesn’t mince words here: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Harsh? Yes. But it’s also deeply empowering. This verse isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being intentional. Whether you’re all in (hot) or purposefully stepping back to recalibrate (cold), you’re making a choice. Lukewarm, on the other hand, is passive and stagnant—a place where dreams and potential go to die.
3. HOW TO RECOGnize lukewarm areas in your life
Take an honest inventory. Who are the friends in your life? Are they the ones cheering you on, pushing you to grow, or are they the ones you keep around out of habit? What about your opportunities? Are you saying yes to things that scare you (in the best way) or clinging to what feels safe but uninspiring? And finally, look at your ambition. Are you truly working toward your goals with fire and focus, or are you stuck in a cycle of “good enough”? If it’s the latter, it’s time to make a shift.
4. FLIP THE SCRIPT, EMPOWERMENT NOT CRITICISM
Revelations 3:15-16 isn’t about beating yourself up—it’s a call to action. If you’ve identified lukewarm areas in your life, don’t spiral into self-doubt. Instead, view this as an opportunity to level up. You’re capable of living a life that’s vibrant, bold, and purpose-driven. But to get there, you need to make room for what sets your soul on fire and let go of what’s holding you back.
Can I tell you what I did recently? Without digging into detail, I recognized a couple of fairweather "friends" in my life & in my circle. After many chances & recognizing that they were indeed lukewarm & passive, I cut them out like cancer. I unfollowed both on social media & they are officially put in the 'I no longer associate with you' area of my life. Now, sure I know it sounds silly "I unfollowed them on social media," but what I was really doing was protecting my peace & happiness. I only want genuine, supportive people in my life. My time is precious & valuable, and you should be honored to be in my circle.
As my husband always says.. It's either a hard yes, or it's a hard no.
Friend, family or foe, it's time to take inventory, ladies.

Takeaways from today's Girl, Get It Done

Life is way too short to settle for “just okay.” You were made for more than mediocrity—you were made to live fully, boldly, and with purpose. Inspired by Revelations 3:15-16, we flipped the harsh truth into empowerment: life is too short to settle for mediocrity. By evaluating what’s lukewarm, turning up the heat on what excites us, and letting go of what doesn’t align, we can step into the bold, passionate lives we’re meant to live.
- Evaluate: Start by identifying what’s lukewarm in your life. Make a list of the people, opportunities, and habits that aren’t serving you anymore. Be brutally honest—this is your chance to clean house.
- Turn Up the Heat: Focus your energy on what excites you and pushes you to grow. Whether it’s a friendship, a career move, or a personal goal, lean into what feels challenging and fulfilling.
- Let Go: Sometimes, the boldest move is walking away. Release the friendships, routines, or commitments that don’t align with who you’re becoming. It’s not easy, but it’s necessary to create space for the extraordinary.
As you head into your week, I want you to remember this: you deserve more than lukewarm. You deserve friendships & relationships that pour into you, opportunities that stretch you, and ambition that sets your heart on fire. Take the time to reflect, clear out the clutter, and lean fully into the things that make you feel alive.
Let’s make this week about bold choices and big moves. Life is waiting for you to show up all in. You’ve got this, girl—go get it done.
With fire and purpose, KLG
